Lucozade
The Lucozade advert uses celebrity endorsement on the print advert to represent the product as a reliable drink. By using celebrity endorsement it makes the audience look up to the product because a famous footballer Gareth Bale is representing the brand also because Gareth Bale has a clean reputation. This is another persuasive methods between advertising by using Antonio’s methods of Ethos, which is to show the credibility of the product with the use of the model and writings that will convey how reliable the product is such as the writing at the bottom where it shows that it’s scientifically proven enables the audience to feel reliable and comfortable with the product. Lucozade advert has used the compositions effectively for the brand, placing the footballer on the right-hand side as if we are seeing his profile. Having placed him on the right side and the brand’s description on the left side can signify that he’s linked with Lucozade and Lucozade is linked with him but maybe to show that Lucozade got him the place he is now becoming a really famous player with the help of Lucozade. His facial expression looks strong, dominant and direct to the audience. A direct address can enable the audience to feel closer to the advertisement because it may feel like it is targeting the individual. Having strong facial expressions makes it look like he is very confident with the brand and also that if you drink Lucozade, you can become strong and dominant like him. It’s like setting an ideal for the Lucozade a telling the audience that if you drink this brand then you can become him, let him be the role model for the bran Lucozade.

You need more discussion of contextual stuff such as Gareth Bale's status and reputation as a footballer, and how the brand is represented and positioned in the market. V
